Ground transportation services refer to private and public movement of airline passengers by means of land vehicles. The term “ground transportation” refers to infrastructure or vehicles like railways or roads. They are often used in association with airline travel. When an overnight stay is needed for connecting flights, airport based services are often used to shuttle people to close by motels or hotels.
Most ground transportation companies offer rental car, private taxi and bus services whereas mass transportation is generally offered by municipality or other sources of community funding. There are two different types of ground transportation services:
